Ever since he can remember, Dr. Gala has enjoyed helping others and working directly with his hands. The dental world (and orthodontics in particular) felt like a great fit for those particular strengths and passions. All these years later, he still feels entirely confident that he made the right decision for his lifelong career.
Dr. Gala is originally from Kingsport, TN. He completed his dental studies at the University of Tennessee, graduating with honors, followed by a rigorous general practice residency at Kings County Hospital Center. Finally, he achieved his certificate in orthodontics from Maimonides Medical Center. Today, he is a current member of the American Academy of Orthodontists and the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists.
Dr. Gala’s wife Sasha is also an orthodontist, and they currently live in the East Village. In his spare time away from work, he enjoys traveling, trying local restaurants and new foods, and learning all that he can about history, architecture, and design.
